Top ten reasons to choose a Hud-Son
1. Ready for use in minutes
Your new Hud-Son sawmill takes only a few minutes to prepare for use. Just bolt the two guide tracks together and lay on a level ground base. Then lift the sawmill head onto the track rails; check the engine, tension the blade and it’s ready to cut. It really is that simple – this is not like some sawmills construction kit that will take you days to assemble.
2. Design
Hud-Son uses a 4-post head design. This allows for more head stability and reduces the chance of ‘sag’ or ‘uneven’ cuts. The H-frame uses no ‘camber’ in the wheels for tracking. Camber causes unnecessary stress which leads to early bearing and shaft fatigue.
3. Service
When needed, it is simple. Easy access to all the bearings, shafts and belts make adjustments and service simple. Blade changes are easy, no realigning or adjustments to make.
4. Blade guides
Hud-Son uses their very own guides. With support to the top, bottom and back of the blade, the guides limit the chance of blade wander. Most companies use only top support.
5. Value
There is no other mill on the market that has standard features for the price of a Hud-Son. You can own a fully featured sawmill for less than £2000 (exVAT).
6. Quality assured
Every single unit passes a vigorous 28 point inspection. Each sawmill is tested working with wood at the factory, not just visually looked at.
7. Availability
JUST SAWS is your UK sole importer of Hud-Son products. Well-respected, and with many years experience of sawmills we can offer technical support and replacement parts from stock should they be required.
8. Warranty
All Hud-Son mills have a full, no-quibble, two-year manufacturer warranty. (Excluding engine where the engine manufacturers warranty applies).
9. Drive line
All bandwheels from 400-750mm (16" – 30") in size have tight fitting lathe cut pyrathane belting. This completes the match and balance with the wheel, belt, bearings and shafts. This removes the vibration mills with ‘loose belts’ have and improves the quality of your cut.
Portability
All Hud-Son mills are portable, some can even be carried by two people.
